movie night

It's a good thing my meal planning included plenty of nights for leftovers. We made sausage lentil spinach soup a few nights ago and ate about a third of it before conceding defeat. I anticipate leftovers of our leftovers.

That's especially true with me being the only one eating them tonight. Matt rowed the dinghy over to Opus this morning before I was even awake. He goes to sleep a lot earlier than I do and wakes earlier. It's been nice to have the boat to myself today. I got some maintenance stuff done. One of the upholstery buttons need replacing, so I took care of that. And I changed the gear lube in the sail drive.

But now it's dinner time and the weather tonight is nasty, raining hard and blowing hard. I wouldn't want to row the dinghy back in this weather either. If the weather doesn't abate before morning Opus can ferry Matt back then. In the mean time…

It's movie night! I just made a big pot of popcorn, I have movies downloaded to my iPad, and there's nobody sitting behind me to kick my seat. In fact I have this whole theatre to myself.
