Goin' to Campbell River today. We've given ourselves four hours to get to Seymour Narrows, sixteen miles away. For the math wizards that's 4kts. That might normally be slow, but I anticipate bucking 2-3kts current most of the way, so we'll need 6-7 kts of speed through the water, which is faster than I routinely go. Anticipation is the game. More time gives us more options. We can always pull out and wait before we hit the narrows if it turns out we're going too fast.
Sapna will be departing in Campbell River. We'll be sorry to see her go. She has been excellent crew, pitching in wherever needed without complaint. With Chuck's help, Sapna has learned to raise and lower the anchor like a seasoned pro. We wish her well.
