It's crazy how many boats are in here. The last few times I anchored here there was a boat or two. Today Quijote and Opus make ten and eleven. It's hard to know where the boats that are here have dropped their anchors. So it's a little challenging to know where to drop ours. One guy came out on deck to shout at us that he had 200' of gear out. Got it. We moved a little farther away from him, but there's only a limited amount of space if we're to avoid getting blown on shore. There's not supposed to be much wind tonight so with luck it won't matter.
Kay spotted a black bear today. It was foraging on shore for muscles and other shellfish as we transited Chatham Narrows.
Tonight we eat leftovers. It's on the schedule. If we don't they won't get eaten. At the moment though I have the boat to myself while the crew does their usual afternoon dinghy tour. I'll get dinner started, put on some music, write a blog post, listen to the weather, plot tomorrow's course… yada yada…
We're schedule to make our break around Cape Caution on Thursday. As luck would have it, the forecast is calling for calm on Thursday. That makes me a little nervous. Forecasts change, so if it changes it's going to be for the worse. Time will tell.
