Cape Caution

We rounded the dreaded Cape Caution this afternoon in glassy, foggy conditions

We're at our anchorage now: Fury Cove. I've been here twice before. It's was one of my favorites when going ashore wasn't illegal. I guess the First Nation owns the land and probably got tired of people's garbage. But at least we can anchor here. To get into this anchorage one has to wind their way in from the Fitzhugh Channel. Once in, the cove has views of the channel between islets interconnected by shell middens. In the past we could dinghy ashore to see the conditions out in the channel.

Tomorrow I had hoped to go to an anchorage that has some exposure to the Pacific Ocean. Alas, The winds are supposed to blow hard tomorrow night, at least hard enough to make us rethink the idea. We've picked an anchorage called Codville Lagoon Marine Park instead. It has much better protection from the elements.

Leftovers for dinner tonight. Mexican Chicken Stew or salmon and rice or Rigatoni Bolognese. I think we'd better have leftovers tomorrow too.
