Under wraps

We're in Copeland Islands Marine Park tonight. Several other boats are in the same small cove and all are stern tied to the perimeter except us. We should too, but we don't feel like it. We're anchored in the middle of the cove, free to swing in a circle with boats around us, facing us like a grand Inquisition. If a few more boats come in here we'll have to move.

Mosquitoes are more of a nuisance this year than they have been in the past. A couple nights ago I was sitting in the dark cabin writing a blog post when a swarm of mosquitoes invaded the boat and drove me into the back. They followed me. I hid under the covers and waited while they peppered my sleeping bag. They sense carbon dioxide, so they knew I was in there. After about 10 minutes I popped my head out and the coast was clear. I wonder why they decided to leave.

Tonight we have a buffalo chicken wraps on the menu. I hope I can find the wraps.
